I am a 51-year-old virgin. It's partly by circumstance & partly by choice. Actually, I think I'm skewing asexual. I like the idea of romance—being swept off my feet, butterflies in the stomach, etc. But the physical part kind of freaks me out. I don't know what I'm going to tell a future partner when the time comes. I feel like such a weirdo.
I totally relate to what you're saying about the physical part freaking you out. I'm kind of surprised that it doesn't freak more people out, because it's a freaky concept! I'm not sure of your gender, but certainly being female, it's often very invasive. Right?
