Fuck It, I'm Wearing It: Tops With Pithy Sayings

I believe in the adage, "Say it with your chest!"

It doesn’t take much to make me smile, but if you want to see me grin ear to ear, show me a top with something to say. I’m a sucker for anything with writing on it: the cleverer the better. I tend to choose ones that either telegraph how I’m feeling at a particular moment or serve as an encouraging mantra to help me get through a difficult time. Allow me to take you through a few of my faves, and why I chose them:

I bought this top during the 2020 election year when I was feeling (and as it turns out, rightly so) that some women would vote the way their husbands told them to, not in their own best interests. We dodged a bullet that year and got Biden, but the results of Election 2024 show we still have a lot to learn...

Now and then I need to remind myself that some things in life are entirely out of my control and that I should stop trying to make something happen that life clearly does not have in store for me. Also, this is one of my favorite Beatles songs, and my name, Vanessa, means butterfly, so this was an easy sell.
