Lovely Diego, whose photo essay is running here now, wrote this amazing (and highly accurate!) paragraph in his cover letter asking to contribute to AJPT.
I wish I could post a photo in the comments. I am housecleaning and came across a letter to Santa from my younger son. It made me think of this post. I wanted my sons to be polite to Santa, so the letter reads: "Dear Santa, I hope you are well. I want. Metal Topfhelm, Playmobil auxiliary, Playmobil Asterix Legionere," and is left unfinished. But I love the forced (by mommy) politeness and then he launches right into a want-list, not even a wish list. I am laughing tears and also kind of having this sneaking feeling like I am an awful parent for having encouraged this kind of materialism and the good manners are just an afterthought...
Jane Jane Jane, I love this and you and I sound like the same kind of moms - particularly the questioning ourselves part. I also wish that we could put photos and videos in the comments. Believe me, I have asked for it! Let's all keep bugging Substack. Thanks for the laugh.
Diego’s essay made me warm and fuzzy. Pitches incoming!
Yahoo!!
Gathering thoughts but a pitch is coming.
Oh thank gawd for Lovely Diego. Trying it his way!
Haha you're the best and I can't wait to see your pitches. Did you send them already?
I sent one right after the comment last night.
Ok let me ask Esther if she opened it. Thank you!

I tried the same address again, and I received the same message. Is there an alternative email?
