Jane Has What She Thinks Is An Important Message For You
Plus: Paradise Will Have You Setting A Timer For When The Next Episode Drops, Feminista Warns
Hello Saturday,
I am up checking messages and the news because a guy I grew up with down in North Carolina is slated to be released from Hamas captivity any minute. Two other hostages have been released to the Red Cross and then handed over to Israeli forces and he is meant to be the third. Not only does this moment put everything in needed perspective, it also makes me vow to remember his family and friends right now whenever I dare to feel hopeless.
Hope is a gift and keeping it is our responsibility. Even though people will say not to use the phrase "I hope," because it creates the possibility for the opposite to also be true, I am going to hold on to the feeling of hope for all things. Because not having it isn't fathomable or an option for a lot of people in a lot of places - especially these days, it seems - when yes, the opposite could easily be true.
So I love you all and I hope we all have joyous reunions today, Keith especially.
And please enjoy the regularly scheduled programming from Feminista below.
Love always,
Jane

It's been a while since a TV show instantly grabbed my attention, and I forgot how much I missed that feeling. Some shows take too long to get interesting, while others rush through a short season without enough character development or a well-structured plot. There’s a new show streaming on Hulu called Paradise and you don’t want to miss this one!
Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us) leads the cast as Special Agent Xavier Collins, a Secret Service agent assigned to provide security for the president of the United States, Cal Bradford (played by James Marsden). One day, he comes in to check on Bradford and finds him dead on the floor with indications that he has been murdered. You’re immediately drawn in because it’s an instant whodunit. This clearly shakes Xavier, so we know something else is going on and that he likely didn’t do it. With various flashbacks woven in, we learn that Xavier and Cal grew close to each other but have a complicated history and that Xavier even took a bullet for him during an assassination attempt. He doesn’t know who he can trust so he tries to gather as much intel as he can before he knows he will be removed from the scene and any investigation.
Now, this storyline is enough to make for at least one season of an intriguing show, but wait...
