I wrote a lengthy intro here venting about miscellaneous things that I just decided to cut. I think I maybe had gone too far with advice I got from another AJPT editor about curing writer’s block by first writing something bad. And being someone who tends to take things a little too far, I think it was a little too bad.

If you want to see what I wrote you here anyway, tell me in the comments and I'll show it to you there. And guess what? You can always show me your bad writing, too. I can't tell you how many people submit stories to me for AJPT that they apologize for in their letters, and then I find absolutely brilliant stuff in them. OK, moving on.

I finally have the details down for our Zoom party at my place, and herewithin they are! Plus, thanks to some sweet Reddit user who sent this to me, here is accompanying music to play in the background while you luxuriate in your highly-exclusive invitation.

It's a song from our Sassy house band, Chia Pet. I haven't heard it in maybe 20 years. And of course, I had to send it to Christina, who was the founder of the band, and probably has heard it more recently than I have because she's better at keeping track of things. But I laughed hard to hear it again, and that is me playing the electric violin at the very beginning. Yes, it is.

Party Details!!

Dress Code:

Absolutely anything you want, but especially your pink Sassy T-shirt, because if you wear your Sassy T-shirt, you will be eligible for some special Sassy and Jane magazine giveaways, as well as the glorious chance to come with me to my storage space in the Bronx where we will unload old Sassy and Jane merch stuff and some designer clothes and you will take all of them off my hands, thank you so much!

Guest List:

You you you and me me me. All paid subscribers are so, so, so welcome. AND, even sweeter, annual and lifetime subscribers, and anyone who shows up wearing a Sassy shirt, will be eligible for all the Sassy and Jane archival magazines and merch we're giving away.

If you're anything like I usually am and want to just lurk, you don't even have to turn your video on. That's my special rule for INFPs.

That's me in the middle at another fun party this week, starring AJPT’s newly beloved Music Editor, Ione Skye, and my designated photographer, Sherm. We’re at the fantastic St. Mark’s Place restaurant, Cecilia.

Without telling you who they are, I will tell you that I have people joining who are very much part of the Sassy and Jane worlds. (If any of you are xoJane fans, let me know that in the comments too because I can try to gather from that front as well.)

When and Where:

OK, continuing to make you part of this (fun fun, fun, exciting exciting exciting building anticipation) party process, I want to know from you all which of these two dates you prefer.

Choice of dates and times: Tuesday 3/18 at 8:30PM ET or Wednesday 3/26 at 8:00PM ET. It's up to you!

I chose those options based on your input when I first mentioned this idea, so hopefully at least one of them is good for a lot of you. Vote on the date in the comments and I truly cannot wait to see you then and there!!

PS I've never done one of these using video before, so let's all hope that I don't mess it up and commit wire fraud and have to go to jail a’ la Jen Shah or become Fyre Festival number three. I checked these dates with Corynne and Charlie here at AJPT also to make sure they will be around, so I think they will save me from that fate because they would rather me not go to jail. (Isn't that sweet? I love them! And you!)
