Diego's piece is not only visually inviting but also a reminder that we all need to pause each day, take in our surroundings, and appreciate the beauty in that.

Thank you for this Diego. I can really relate. The further we get into technology, the more I appreciate the simplicity of life from when I was younger. I miss the anticipation of having to wait for things.

Beautifully said. Anticipation Is probably the feeling I remember most vividly from childhood. It was so frequent and so thrilling. Thanks for reminding me.

The instant gratification of so many things now doesn’t really serve us in the long run. I miss waiting for a music video to drop, waiting months for an album, standing in line at a record store for an autograph. The feeling of, “OMG, I can’t wait until…” it made the good things special, it would just take a few decades for us to realize it.

Cate, you are speaking my language! I can remember heading downtown to Crazy Eddies or Tower Records where everybody knew they could get the latest music whenever something was about to drop and feeling so elated that I got there first! We literally would dance in the store aisles, hahahah!

Yes!!! And, to get your hands on that new thing was almost a literal physical relief. I’d stress until it was in my hands and then I was euphoric. I have 3 daughters now, my youngest is 21 and they just don’t understand how much they’ve missed out on. These moments became core memories for me.

Same. My daughter is also 21, my son is 24, and all they know is how to swipe, text, and stream. It's tragic.

It is. I guess maybe it’s good that they don’t understand that. They don’t realize what they are missing.
