In my 20s I used to be a pretty avid sleep walker. I once woke up, nude, in my building's elevator around 5:30am with zero clue how I got there. I went down to the ground floor and grabbed my copy of the Chicago Tribune and made a kilt out of it. Remarkably none of the other residents were around. But It was pretty awkward when I had to knock on my super's door to get let back into my apartment (the doors automatically locked when shut and there was no way to disable it).

Honestly I only have these thoughts randomly and in the past, what would be considered as OCD-why is no one mentioning this as a pattern?

I don't know, but I'm really glad you're bringing it up. I have never been diagnosed as having OCD but I know people who have and I relate to a lot of what they experience myself. So I have self diagnosed that I have some degree of it, which increases or decreases at different times in my life based on other factors. Is yours completely in the past? Thanks again for weighing in with this observation,. I really appreciate it.

I have been fantasizing lately about throwing a drink in someone’s face. Or tripping them. Mostly this happens during my morning NYC commute, but I think the impending election is also bringing out anxiety-related thoughts of violence. What I have done in reality is spit on people’s driver-side car door handles. This is usually a result of their having some obnoxious, ignorant and/or offensive bumper sticker. It’s not just you Jane!

You just made me feel so much better, my partner in petty acts of aggression! And guess what? I have spit on car doorhandles too! Boy was that cathartic to reveal. You're the best and I'm so glad you're in my camp
